Mahora Solar Farm – Albacete (2,8 MW)

Huerta Solar de Mahora - AlbaceteThis solar plant was connected in the summer of 2007; it was the first project in which we offered a comprehensive management service from the beginning of construction.

The photovoltaic energy was at its peak in Spain, Mahora was one of the biggest parks in the country when it opened. Holland’s ambassador and the minister of industry of Castile-La Mancha at the time, Benito Montiel, attended the opening.

Technical details:

  • Area – 8 hectares (19.7 acres)
  • The project has 28 independent plants of 100kWp
  • Each plant has its own transformer and inverter Solarmax 100C.
  • The plant has a total of 17,872 panels both mono and polycrystalline made by the brands Canadian Solar and Yingli.
  • This plant can supply energy for 1,480 Spanish households per year, avoiding the emission of 1,200 tons of CO2.
